Geeesh... I guess I am not saying anything y'all haven't heard a hundred times before but I'm gonna say a combination of words I had never even
thought of much less to say it and it be true. That is, "I am just as hooked and addicted as one can be after 2 days of kite flying." OMG as recently
as last Sunday I thought foil was just something you wrapped your leftovers in. Now just a week later I have spent 2 of those last seven days flying
not 1 but 2 new kites that I/we now own. My body hurts (but I mean that in a good way); my face is sunburned regardless of the hat and sunblock; the
muscles in my neck and face are actually fatigued from smiling. You know the story... but I DIDN'T!!! I know Wendy feels the same way. I can't tell
you how many times we "high fived" and "fist pumped" about the 2.4m, and the 4m, and the clouds, and the wind, etc etc etc. It was just a fantastic
experience. I'll post some of my first opinions on the kites tomorrow. For now, I gotta tell you, I actually feel a sustained high since Saturday
morning. What a feeling.
One last comment... toward the end of our day around 5pm, Wendy is flying the 4m Beamer. The wind is 10mph I guess (not good at wind estimates yet)
with certainly a little tiny gust here and there that would make it really interesting for her 130 lbs (BTW I have been corrected, she did not weigh
135 as I stated the other day). I am behind her watching and these 2 guys approach carrying their 2 little 3 or 4 year olds. They were just in
amazement! The asked me almost as if I was an alien with a toy from another galaxy, "Wha wha what is that? I mm mean I know it's kite, right? Is it
some kind of sport or what? You gotta have alot of strength to do that don't you?" I did my best "Well these are traction kites or sometimes called
power kites" speech. It was my best kite speech only because I had never made a kite speech before. It was just a great feeling.....

I gotta tell you it's alot of fun and pretty amazing. I feel lucky!When she told me a couple of weeks ago "Let's get a bigger kite" that was
outstanding! Now that I see her taking the reigns on these kites and fighting, and pulling, and just loving it... well that is just fantastic. And
she's easy on the eyes too!
Bobalooie57, I didn't think so. I have already found myself looking at that field as a place to test the ATB waters but I thought it was a bit small.
I'll have to take another look and think about that one. This buggy/board business is still a ways off though. Probably a good 2 or 3 days... just
