I went out for a test flight of my new beamer 3.6. Everything was fine and I was having fun and hooked into my harness. Behinds me a small storm was
brewing out of a blue sky (typical SD Weather) and bam! I am flying across the soccer field on my elbows.
It was a fun crazy ride. I figure the wind went from 8 knts to 25+ in about 2 seconds. Died down in 20 Seconds while I found my bearings. Just s
little skin of my elbows(new pads on order).
After flying a 7m Waroo for the last few weeks I miss the depower on the chicken loop. Is it possible to fly the Beamer on a system that lets one
depower with both hands on the bar?

Hey Dan,
Welcome to the club!! :D Tonight I was flyin my ace on the landboard... crazy winds tonight as well in ID. I was gettin close to some trees, and the
ace was pullin me over the front of the board so i jumped off.... Not knowing how fast i was going LOL. I was SCREAMIN' down the field :P . As i
stepped on the ground i fell face forward and had a nice superman drag haha. Good times my friend Bladerunner - 5-5-2009 at 09:31 AM

Unfortunately that is the risk of hooking in with a fixed bridle.
Your only option was to push out and let go of the bar. Or let go and pull the pin in your D-loop.ragden - 5-5-2009 at 09:45 AM
Unfortunately, there is no way to depower a fixed bridle kite, that I know of. Your best bet is to just let go. Or buy a small depower kite. snobdr - 5-5-2009 at 09:54 AM
First if you know a storm was brewing you probably shouldnt have been flying. Second if you have a 7M waroo why even bother with a 3.6 beamer?kiteNH - 5-5-2009 at 09:59 AM

Push your D-loop ( strop ) out from under your spreader bar ? Other option is pull the safety pin on the D-loop.kiteNH - 6-5-2009 at 09:56 AM
