Hey guys, I have been playing around with my flow for about 3 weeks now and I am pretty good with it, surely no expert but been scudding around and
jumping with it.
Now the other day I was offered a basically new (3 times used) Scrub Regolith and a 7m Flexi Sabre 1, with pads and helmet, for £250...
Obviously I had to take that offer up, and have been playing on the board with my Flow. My friend had a couple goes on it with his rage 3.5 and had a
couple of nasty bails... I am not going on it again until I get my full face helmet through the post
but anyway... once I do get back on it what sort of things should I be practising? I can ride up and down ok, and fairly fast, but I have only been
holding the kite at the edge of the window. What techniques should I be mastering? how do i jump?
Appreciate any input on this one, thanks :wee:

www.coastalwindsports.com and http://www.dakitez.com/ both have some good tutorials online. So do a number of other sites.

any chance you can get your hands on Drill 1?
watch it a few time and you're ready to practice, easy but the system of riding is important.

Drill 1 is an landboarding instructional DVD produced by MBS. Currently I believe it is only available in NTSC format. If you have only have access
to a PAL DVD player, you would still be able to view it on a PC.
http://www.mbs.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idProduct=273
If you are in the UK, you might be able to get it through a local retailer.
With a total running time of 45 mins it is short and to the point with regards to basics.
The alternatives are:
FatSands Progression Kite Landboarding Beginner
http://www.fatsand.com/watchingit/Progression-Kite-Landboard...
and
PowerKite How-To DVD
http://www.lewiswilby.com/Media/DVD.indd.pdf
The latter is 2 DVDs and includes everything including the kitchen sink (sections on static, landboards, buggies, etc).
If I ever get ambitious, a review of all 3 probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sam
