BTW what was Jim using that day?sunset-Jim - 10-5-2009 at 07:20 PM
Ya, that turned out pretty cool. I'm pretty sure I was using my 2.7rs. The dunes don't really show up too well with that lens, but lately they have
been the best they have ever been since I've been riding (8 yrs).
We do have a get together scheduled for next weekend....:wee:csa_deadon - 10-5-2009 at 07:23 PM
The next time I'll be able to make it up Jim, is not till June 20th. Work schedule conflicts, sucks!!
That's also my eight week mark!!!!! Got four new sails just itching to turn and burn. loljellis - 10-5-2009 at 07:43 PM

I gotta find some better music though
HighJack Away my friend.
Next weekend I'm at a trade show in PDX Convention center for Discover Kiting. I wouldn't recommend any of you come to PDX, I'd rather be kiting! I
missing an event at our own beach....

hoping for perfect West winds so we can race the cars on the beach, see the #@%$#! Wreck again and do some on-shore kitesurfing. hehehe.
where should i book my hotel?arkay - 12-5-2009 at 01:10 AM
Not an exciting video, but here's a close up of that jojo 10m back in feb or so, winds were 6mph. Everyone was stranded down the beach waiting for
the wind to pick up :dunno:
Nice vids Eli, and good camera angle, the first one looks like Jim is going directly down wind... the lines look really long too...what were they 40marchkiter - 12-5-2009 at 12:09 PM
Nice vids Eli and Jim. I like the POV- it does a really good job showing where the kite is at, the direction of travel, and what the flyer is doing
to control the kite and the bug. The dunes look really funny with the fisheye in the first vid... if I didn't know the beach there, it would be hard
to understand the terrain where it becomes 3d- not that this is a negative- just an observation.
Was this shot with one of those Hero cameras?centex_buggier - 12-5-2009 at 12:13 PM
I put in a request to keep the dunes like that through SOBB. Our dunes in Galveston are all but gone and I could do with a fix in September :wee:
