If I was riding with the side rails at max extension (bottommost holes on the downtube) and now I've moved to the opposite extreme (topmost holes) BUT
swapped out the side rails for the extra long ones - where did my centre of gravity go? I'm thinking it shifted forward? So with the new excess length
behind me I should be less prone to picking up the upwind wheel? I ask because with the standard side rails and the topmost holes on the downtube she
was a REALLY tippy ride. REALLY tippy.
I know, I know.....I'm just a kite away from finding it out for myself but it's cold and crappy here these days ; )
Anyone ridden the XR+ in this configuration?

I think the long side rails move the rider forward... You still would need the downtube at the same position... From what I can see. Maybe someone
else can confirm this?
Do you have the 120cm axle?

you may have your seat further back than when you had your std side rails. id move your seat forward again, put the downtube back in the same hole as
before and start adjusting your center again.
with the extended rear axle (120cm) and side rails +15cm, youll have more stability.
