Hello ALL!
I am a paraglider, learned on a pegus paraglider, and pegas has power kites. Pegas WebsiteI have not heard of other manufacturers of similar style powerkites, and I came accrosed the pansh kites at www.dakitez.com.
I Learned to fly in Utah.. I tore up my powerkite years back and now I live in buffalo New york. alot of nice wind up here and I see a beach of the
lake where there are some solid frame power kites that kite boarders use. I was only familiar with the pansh/pegas style power kites before.
which is better/funner to use, the rigid frame style or the paraglider style? I am VERY interested in seling kites out here, the rigid frames are
hundreds, almost 1k, and knowing and feeling a paraglider, you dont have to have the rigid frame to get the power. I would love to get some demo
kites and start selling them out here. Plenty of opportunity and I have not seen ANY one selling power kites in this area. And there is WIND!!
Any one interested in helping me get some demo kites to start promoting some sells out in this area!!? There is $$ to be made.
Being that I come from a paragliding background, I am familiar with how the kites work, though I have never used a de-power system nor have I doen any
traction kiting, all I used was bars. I Love to fly and I love to harness the power of the wind!! !YAY!
Which power kite is best for the price/performance? for people out here? some pretty good moderate/heavy winds, steady. I Have gained a bit of weight
since I flew, I am a good 220 230 lbs now.
I am looking to buy a kite to play with and to demo. any thoughts?

there is a lot of used kites for sale in the For Sale, maybe pick up one of those to try and learn to fly again first.
dunno when you last kited but technology has changed a bit for the better and safetly.
The solid frame / rigid kites you call for kiteboarding, are LEI kites "Leading Edge Inflatable" kites. you pump them up with air, so they float on
water. you can still use foils on water as well like the PL Arcs and the HQ Neo (which are considered all terrain kites)
i see your eager to start a side business, however maybe take a few steps back ... learn to fly first.
I will point out that kites isnt a million dollar revenue, most distributors / shops / manufactures provide back to the community, and keep it
growing. so there is little money but a lot of PASSION and kite friends from around the world.
As for Pegas... there gliders are well made, and most paragliders companies have a second division as kites. The Pegas Chimera is a depower foil and
they use a UDS system (universal depower), similar to a lot different kites on the market, and other one is a fixed bridle foil. Both models that
Pegas has are older, and they havent produced a new kite in years.

Ricardo is right.. If you like flying, just get into it for the fun. Once you start trying to sell something it changes it. In today's global
market of the internet anyone can buy a kite from anywhere in the world which makes it hard for you to capture a market. You definatly will not get
rich at it, in fact unless you do it just right, you'll probably loose money and most probably just break even.
Get some kites to play with to find out what you like the best and which ones work best for your area. Sometimes the terrain and where you live and
what you want to ride will make a big difference in the kite best suited for you.
