busted tendon

last thursday i had an accident where i slipped and fell and pulled left elbow tendon loose from bone [not kite related] has ben re attached this wensday doctor says out of work 8-10 weeks arm back to full stregnth 6-7 months doctor knows nothing about traction kites, buggys etc... anyone have a clue when i can get back in my kite buggy??? thanks, philip

With the stresses traction kiting puts on the arms even with a strop line, I wouldn't tempt fate man. Let the arm heal fully (6 months). Don't jump back into a big foil. Your arm is gonna need to build up its strength again. You jump back in sooner and you risk reinjuring the arm and being out for another six months.

Oh ya.... that's what you do for a living.... *smile*

Sounds like some good advice. And free too. The only thing worse than having to wait 6 months or so would be to have to wait even longer.
