I plan on finally getting up to Sunset Beach on the 20th. Not having met up with anyone before, where/when do you folks meet up? Or this more a case of see you buggying...

Buggy one, buggy all!!!

Generally meet on the beach somewhere (0.5mi, 1mi) north of the south entrance to sunset beach... generally you'll see buggies, trailers, and a few single line kites.

I plan to be at Sunset on Saturday 6/20... wind this weekend was fantastic! here's hoping for another great weekend!

Just want to add that the forecast (for now anyway) is calling for a "chance" of showers with winds WSW of 10-15 mph. For those of you in the know, that is an incredible forecast. If holds true it could mean full runs from Seaside to the jetty...... :thumbup:

He'll of course be a sunset beach :eureka: I'm planning to get there late morning.

Noaa should have a forecast up tomorrow, of course which will change. Forcast aside, I'm willing the wind to be good! :bigok:

I'm going to try to head out by 1130 at the latest and will keep an eye on the weather, noaa says:

Today: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 62. West southwest wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. North northwest wind between 8 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

blahsurf forecast is NW 10-15. Manzo is cloudy and the roads are wet from last night but it's not raining and 58.

Fun day!!! 6 hours and countless miles! :thumbup:

Wind was ave 8-13 most the day and pretty steady, apparently it was gusting to 17 for a while.

Plenty of wind to fly the bullet but I chose to fly the blaze due to the pansh thread :p Even got on my landboard for a bit and managed not to break anything, much fun! Thanks to csa_deadon for letting me try his 16m scorpion. Absolutely fantastic kite! Flies like butter and I can't believe how fast it turns!

Don't know if anyone saw it but about 1/2 mile south of the sunset beach entrance was a baby seal chilling on the beach. It was about 2ft long; kinda neat.

The MP's also came for a visit, apparently someone went over the dunes and got too close so they want to make sure we were not up to something naughty... with out kites... like attacking their base... with kites... :wee:

Good to see everyone! Everyone looked great today zipping around the beach! Can't wait til SOBB!

Yes, some of them were of Jim showing off again!!!
Even got one that I accused Jim of napping under his 7m JOJO!!
Think we had a zebra get attack on the beach, poor thing :P
