Wife encourages kiting!

AD72 - 30-5-2009 at 09:05 AM

I got a skype message from my wife yesterday while at work "So are you going kiting after work? Have you looked out the window."
Cool! my wife actually encourages me to go out and kite! I guess it makes me less grumpy than usual.

The grass is pulled up on half of the sod farm field. There are some stacks of palates and clumps of sod to avoid but it was fun to ride on the hard packed dirt.

Weather underground says 11mph for this afternoon. It said less yesterday so I was not expecting to go. We will see.

Tomorrow off to Makefaire in San Mateo.

My wife looked outside this morning and said its windy ... I bet your leaving to go fly

I of course said :yes::yes::yes::yes:

She asked if I plan to spend time with my family today

I said maybe if the wind stops :lol:

I got the look!

When talking about weekend plans, the first thing the wife asks is "When's low tide?" Years of conditioning...

if my fiance has nothing to do she'll go with me and snap a few photos and read a book and talk on the phone or whatever, gives her an excuse to get outside as well which works out just fine for me..

Good for you AD72... you can include me when you talk about having S.O. support. My gal has her kite(s) and loves to get out and fly them.

Then there's always the other end of a relationship that can work for you - where's she's just glad you're out of the house and out of her way!
:rolleyes:

lad.... you are correct about that. She works a bit later than I do so sometimes I get out of the house before she gets home so I can have some solitude. I like the peace and quiet of flying alone sometimes.

BTW if she reads this... I'll deny it :yes::yes:
