I am still trying to believe that a newer Flysurfer can be so much better than my Pulse is that it now sells for under $400 RTF :wow:
I have NEVER flown a Flysurfer that I haven't had to " buy to try".
I have wanted to fly the Outlaw next to the AlaSca for a long time but it isn't happening.
Anyone want to pass their Outlaw ?
Do a temp. swap with my Pulse ?
How does Flysurfer go about Demos ?ripsessionkites - 3-6-2009 at 07:23 AM
we can go south to PZ or east to AB.
we can wait until SOBB and ride everyone elses stuff. :bouncy:clintopher - 3-6-2009 at 09:32 AM
I think you just have to be lucky and live in the right geographical area or go to some of the bigger events. I happen to share my local beach with
Ted B (US importer) so I fall into the lucky category. Funny though, I never test rode any of my kites before buying them. I'll be banging down his
door though when the Speed 3 is released...really want to try out the 12.

clint do you find it difficult to get ahold of ted even when he lives in your town?
he seems like he vanishes off the face of the earth from time to time.Bladerunner - 3-6-2009 at 05:29 PM
You are right on with the " lucky " bit.
I know I'm lucky to have the folks that do have Demo kites in town. You can't have it all. I'm happy with what we have !
It's just a shame you have to " buy before you fly " when it comes to Flysurfer around here. I'm sure our kitesurf shop Airtime would bring one in if
I was a serious buyer but the truth is I just want / need to see what makes Pulse II and Outlaws worth so much more than the Pulse ?dylanj423 - 3-6-2009 at 09:42 PM
i dont think under 400 is an accurate appraisal. mine had a repair, and the economy is weak for some, so i let it go for less than it is worth. but it
will finance a new kite where there is a large gap in the quiver. i do, however, think that its real value is somewhere around 500... maybe 550powerzone - 3-6-2009 at 09:52 PM
you have always been welcome to demo anything I have at any time.
just come on down for cryin' outloud ! i see so many kiters from BC and langley drive down and kite here.... but nobody from this forum yet.... so
watch the forecast, call a buddy, and carpool down here. its been 20knots all week.
here's what is available currently for testing and demos in Flysurfer:
Speed2 12m
Speed2 15m SA
Psycho4 19m SA
Psycho4 10m
Pulse2 8m
Outlaw 8m
a 15m Psycho4 and Pulse2 10m can also be arranged with other local customers.
C'mon down !bigsteve - 3-6-2009 at 10:39 PM
add a little more local support and I can add a 19SA2 to the list of things to try.nwsurfwakeskate - 3-6-2009 at 11:28 PM

He can definitely be hard to get a hold of. It's easier to just run into him on the beach than it is to call him. A busy guy he is.manitoulinkiter1 - 4-6-2009 at 02:13 PM
Hey Powerzone
Is the Psycho10m a 1,2,3 or 4?
Thanks

Is that at Locust? for land flying I haven't seen much wind at the couple of sensors I check...nwsurfwakeskate - 4-6-2009 at 02:46 PM
John you're allowing demo's of the P4 19m SA??? :eekdrull:
if so I wanna get in line Bladerunner - 4-6-2009 at 03:13 PM
You are right John.
We have to make an effort to get down there.
The Boarder is a real ...... boarder to many of us ! Even those of us who have passports think twice about crossing on a day trip.
Of course you are always welcome to join us up here as well ! :wee:ripsessionkites - 4-6-2009 at 08:24 PM
border crossing can suck from time to time. we'll make a visit soon enough on the way down to SOBB.
i wouldnt mind kitesurf with you guys at Locust. shallow / butter smooth water. *drool*
look for the little asian guy next month with a PL Charger in Custom Colours. hehehe.
who should we call or post to let you guys know the Canadians are coming.powerzone - 4-6-2009 at 10:00 PM

you can call me or email when you're coming down if you'd like, that would be great to get a heads-up.
as of June you'll need a passport to enter the US
i rarely come up to kite with you guys because there seems to be better wind down here so why leave b'ham wind to chase it up north... and squamish is
out of the question.... i can't bring myself to pay to kite.... and pay for a croud.... not into that.
demo's can be either for land or water... whatever you want. but i do need to be there .Bladerunner - 5-6-2009 at 05:26 PM
The only time I know for sure I'll be over the boarder this summer is for SOBB in the begining of Sept.
I have flown the F.S. kites there the last few years. You should come down this year and join us ! Flysurfer gets good attention there!
