leaking innertube

edk442 - 5-6-2009 at 08:45 PM

the seal around the valve stem gave way on two of my tires. is this something that can be repaired or does it warrant buying new inner tubes?

Welcome to the forum

buy new tubes and a few extra to keep rolling instead of having to wait....

? whats digging into the stem to have them go out on you...

to little tire pressure and sand or dirt entering

tube not properly installed in-line with the hub

or just plain down right extreme side slides and shearing off the stems.......................and low tires pressure

What kind of board? Some of the new Flexifoil ATB's that came out this spring had a bad batch of tubes, leaking at the stem as you say. Flexi Replaced them all. It it is Flexifoil, contact your dealer.

it's just a cheap board bought used off ebay, so i'm thinking it's probably a combination of being lesser quality parts and poor installation. thanks for the replies

It is hard to repair stems. In that case better to replace tubes, as they are not terribly expensive.
