I'm looking for a depowerable for those days when the winds are gusting and 20+ mph and have been considering the 5m Apex for a while.
I've been advised to get an Access, but the 4m seems so small and the 6m seems a bit big and the price is a bit more than I'd like to pay.
So anyone flown / skied / landboarded with a 5m Access and care to comment on stability, range of depower and useable range for someone like me who
weighs 145#s?

I completely enjoy my apex II's. Their stability is ridiculous. I have yet to have one fold or even a wing tip fold. They are super solid and have
good de-power. The predictability is one of my favorite traits of the kite. I just know what its going to do and how its going to act. I fly the 5m
and 7.5m almost exclusively. I will try other kites for a few minutes, but always end up back on my apex's. I especially like the fact that HQ did not
change from the trimmer strap to the cleat like the montana and neo. This is a personal thing, but I just like the strap much better than the cleat.
I let a fellow member of pkf try the 7.5m last weekend and he bought it on the spot. I must say that says something about the kites. I was flying the
5m at nabx and really enjoyed it. I am still trying to get use to the playa so I was holding the kite back, but I had no problem hitting 40mph in the
buggy with it. If I felt more comfortable out there scrubbing off the speed I could have gone much faster with that kite.
So for me on the apex II.

I just got a brand new, closeout Access mk 1 6m off of ebay after reading popeyethewelder's raves about it. No trim, but LOW lift, incredible range,
sweet stability, super quality and an unbeatable price!

I am with Dakitez on this one. I got to try the 5m at nabx. Very stable in gusty wind. I never felt like it wanted to lift me out of the buggy. And I
smoked Bladerunner w/ his 7m Pulse.:D
