Hey Guys!
I've been off PKF for a while but I had a sweet session in Jekyll on Wednesday and thought I'd check in. How's everyone?
We did a side by side comparison of the FS Pulse 12m and the PL Venom II 13m. The FS had more umphh but the PL turned faster. Both very nice. I
want to go back to the beach and play with the PL some more. This could be the kite for gusty Lake Lanier...
Anyway, I hope everyone is well.

Hey Greg, Welcome back!
We need to plan a meet up soon. Been too long since JIBE.

Mel,
Lets plan a trip to the beach! Jekyll was sweet on Wednesday. What's your schedule looking like?

Toss out a date and let's go from there. Did you do a day trip?
kitedog - 7-6-2009 at 06:23 PM
Went down Tuesday night and back again on Wednesday. Got my fix but I need to go back soon. Mid-week is definitely the ticket. The beach was empty.
Let's check the wind and pick a good day. I'm thinking the June 22, 23 by the tides. That is if the wind is right.

Right on!

Hey Greg, you've been missed here. Come on down south about 45 minutes and play with us at St. Augustine at least one of your days! 3 miles of
undeveloped beach much like the south end of Jekyll Island. Wide beaches with hard sand. I'll be there from Saturday the 20th and leave the next
Saturday. Should be about the same tides I imagine. I haven't looked yet. I'll be doing lots of PT&E (Product testing and evaluation). I have
to get all comfy with the 2 arcs and have some fixed bridles that need some exercise as well. I expect to have a second buggy there for Wexler or a
visitor.
I have a thread on this in the meet up section. Hope some of you can make it.

Hey Bob!
Good to hear from you. St. Augustine, huh? We'll see...we're already looking at 5 1/2 hours from Hotlanta. But I'd love to meet up with you guys.
How're you liking your PLs? I had a pretty good session with the PL VII 13m the other day. I'm looking forward to getting it out again.

Hijack.
Great Avatar Greg. Who did the pic?
BeamerBob - 9-6-2009 at 04:53 AM
Hey Greg, Life has been way too busy this spring. I had 2 days at JIBE and only 1 day since then with barely enough wind to fly the Phantom. Did
some body dragging and practiced water relaunches. I have the Synergy all hooked up and tried to fly one day this past weekend but the wind dropped
too low while we were driving to the kite field. I see a whisper of a wind on Thursday this week so I'm waiting for that. Surely a week at Anastasia
will get me my fix. You have fun whether you stop at Jekyll or come on down to SA.
kitedog - 9-6-2009 at 06:25 AM
Hey Bob!
I got kinda skunked at JIBE and I've been jonesing pretty bad. Last Wednesday was good for landboarding but not quite enough wind to ride the board in
the water. I need to get back soon but we're pretty busy here in the ATL. The tides start to look good at the beginning of the week of the 22nd.
We'll have to watch the wind.
Hey Mel!
My friend Lee snapped that shot with my cell phone. Cool, huh? Shows that FS 12m pretty well...
Now I have to get a good jumping shot!

Yeah Greg, you missed the epic day on Friday. The skunk on Saturday was ok with just puttering around at kite beach after putting 48 miles on my
buggy and a PB of over 35 mph the day before. I realized later that 5 of 6 bearings were bad in my buggy that day. Who knows how fast I could've
gone? If you don't make SA, we can kite together in spirit and compare notes later.
kitedog - 9-6-2009 at 07:13 AM
Sounds good Bob...I was bummed that I missed Friday. I got there just in time for the wind to die. Even got pulled over trying to get there before
too late!
Right now, I'm unsuccessfully trying to avoid thinking about the FS Psycho 4 19m Silver Arrow demo that Powerzone has for sale. That could turn a low
wind day into a winner.
