Beamer IV 2m

This is a pretty sweet little kite.

Very nice rucksack styled bag with a couple of pockets and room for a drink and light raincoat. Nice big zips too.

The kite is very well made with all bridles stitched and sleeved. It feels very nearly the same quality as the 'leading manufacturers' Almost. (and I'm talking little things like - on the HQ there are some flat-felled seams that sit a little proud, where as on my other kites the seams are internal - nothing to catch. A minor point) I purchased mine without lines or handles because I've already got a few sets and seeing how it's available for $100 less without 'em........ I flew it in 18-23km/h winds on 30m lines on a bar and I have to say it was a joy to fly.

Never stalled, never spun and lost the wind, never folded. Everywhere I pointed it, it flew. And it tracked beautifully. Turned easily. Add just a bit of brakes and it slows down a bit but pulls about 20-25% harder. And it pulls just a wee bit more than my 2.5m Quattro.

In 20km/h wind I couldn't quite hold my ground. (85kg).

I'm sold on the Beamers, this kite really made me feel in control at all times, very solid and stable, no twichyness. A happy camper indeed.

To add to the above - I made a video. You may laugh at my 'incredible buggy skills' and my looking totally stupid flying the Beamer in 25-30km/hr winds. It actually pulls a fair bit for a 2m kite. Probably needs 30km/hr for buggying (it would help if I had a clue!!).

It's a great kite, so sit back and enjoy. And try not to laugh too much at me!!!

Looking good John. Forward momentum is all that matters man, not speed.
