Hey, I'm looking for a small (1 to 2 meter) quad line kite. I'd prefer a HQ beamer, crossfire, or similar kite. I need it for teaching people to fly
and for high winds. My budget is also really tight so this is more of a plea for mercy.

i have a Peter Lynn Hornet 1.5m
Complete with Handles, lines, KK, Stake, instructions

awindofchange - 15-6-2009 at 10:58 PM
Yup, Hornet is a great kite! Works as an awesome buggy engine in stronger winds too! Excellent price for what you get.
Peter Lynn Hornet in all sizes

I have one more Profoil 1.0m $40.00 plus shipping.
StephenElliot - 16-6-2009 at 10:11 AM
The hornet is a little out of my price range but it is what I'm looking for. The profoil is in my price range but not quite what I'm looking for. I'd
like something from HQ, Flexi, ozone, or PL.
StephenElliot - 16-6-2009 at 10:22 AM
Here's a list of kites I've seen that I'm interested in:
Peter Lynn Hornet 1.5 or 2.0m
Ozone Imp Quattro 1.5 or 2.5m
HQ Beamer (any model) 1.4 or 2m
HQ Crossfire (either I or II) 2m

Hard to beat Rip's Hornet for a complete package.
If this has fallen off the grid, Brad still has some smaller foils, here.
Not sure if any of these hit the right price/size mark, but the listing includes:
Flexifoil Sting 1.2m PETROL complete w/bar NEW $130
Flexifoil Sting 1.7m ACID complete w/handles Used 1 Time $140
Flexifoil Sting 1.7m ACID complete w/handles Used 1 Time $140
Rhombus FireBee 2.0m complete NEW $100
Eolo 2.3 Radsail complete Used Good Trainer $110

If $162 is too high for your budget then I guess you're looking for a well used kite then. None of those kites can be had new any cheaper than that.
What exactly is your budget?
I think a Beamer 1.4m sold for $125 recently and I'd say that's about the cheapest RTF kite that I've ever seen go on this forum (or anywhere else).
StephenElliot - 16-6-2009 at 12:07 PM
I don't need rtf. I have quad handles and a quad bar with lines that I can use. And it doesn't need to be brand new.

Corey has a 2 Meter Premier QuadTrac Pro-Foil, Kite Only, for $99. Would that work for you?

I don't know too much about the Profoils. Price is still a little high. I'm looking for something under $60. I realize that's pretty unrealistic...
StephenElliot - 24-6-2009 at 03:00 PM
Budget increased to $100
bigkid - 24-6-2009 at 03:34 PM
I know this might not go well, but I have a black 2m Ace w/o lines or handles for $80.00 and a black 2m Legend w/o lines or handles, for $65.00,
shipping about $15.00
Both Kites are new.
StephenElliot - 25-6-2009 at 09:12 AM
I might be interested in the Legend. I'm not familiar with Pansh kites so I'm reading reviews and stuff. My brother lives in the Lynden area north of
Seattle, any chance he could test fly the kite?
StephenElliot - 25-6-2009 at 09:40 AM
I don't need them but, why no handles/lines?
bigkid - 25-6-2009 at 05:39 PM
No handles/lines is what was asked for, right? I can sell them with handles/lines if you want. Lynden is a couple hours north of Seattle, but we fly
at Marymoore Park in Redmond all the time. Have him U2U me and see if we can hook up.
StephenElliot - 26-6-2009 at 04:02 PM
still contemplating and researching...
StephenElliot - 30-6-2009 at 08:49 AM
There's a 3m legend on ebay with handles and lines for the same price. trying to decide between 2m and 3m
BeamerBob - 30-6-2009 at 09:14 AM
I have a 2.5 and 3.5m Profoil that I would sell as a package with 1 set of lines and handles. Each kite comes in its own profoil bag. The 2.5 is
like new and probably flown less than 5 times. The 3.5 was badly damaged and repaired. Flight isn't quite what it used to be but it does indeed fly.
$100 +shipping for the whole package. I had these sold and the deal fell through, so they are back on the market. I'll post a new for sale thread
of no bites here.
StephenElliot - 30-6-2009 at 12:49 PM
what make/model are they?
indigo_wolf - 30-6-2009 at 01:06 PM
I am assuming, Kite Innovations Profoils by Ted Dougherty.

BeamerBob - 30-6-2009 at 10:46 PM
That is correct that they are from Ted. You can't touch this level of quality for twice the money. The 3.5 might be gone now. There has been an
offer made on it. The 2.5 is still wide open.
StephenElliot - 2-7-2009 at 07:54 AM
how much for just the 2.5 shipped to Los Alamos, NM?
BeamerBob - 2-7-2009 at 08:10 AM
