So I didn't get to go kiting yesterday, had too much to do at the house and I'm almost glad I missed out on a session. My friend (Wallwalker) popped
into work today to inform me that our favorite pristine stretch of beach is now off limits. Apparently the majority of it is roped off due to nesting
birds. !*#@#!+*!! Seriously? Nesting birds? Shouldn't they be in TREES? You know, those big things with branches and leaves that we DON'T kite near? I
now feel the plover pain
Anyone want to bbq?

I guess thats one thing us inland flyers won't ever see. plover signs.
But there is always some kind of Hawk that cruises around checking out the kite and the way it climbs( the bird) I suspect a thermal rising from the
top of that hill.
I once had a large bird dive bombing a single liner. Don't know what kind it was, the kite was 500' out.

we have plenty of fields here but damn....not our beach :flaming:

LOL.....We can still fly on the beach we just have to move in diffrent directions. North or South along the beach. The real pain will come when the
turtles start climbing up the beach and nesting and every 10 feet a little cage will be set up with flags and posts.
How dare the wildlife mess with our beach?????
We will be fine we have a lot of spots to fly.
