Hey guys,
I've been kiting most of my life for the age of 5 but have only been using stunt kites 
and a 1.4m "power Kite" if you could even call that a power kite. And so i have a fair idea on how to fly reasonably well. But now, im
looking to buy my first propper Power kite. Now unfortunatly i have a budget, which is £200 which is between around 200-300 bucks !
Ive done my fair share of research but i thought i'd ask some experts on their opinion !im looking for a kite which will be able to dragg me, as well
as allow me to do some big jumps ! Now i live inland but in the summer i go to our little house on the coast ( in england ) so the wind range differs,
but even on the coast the wind varies from gusts, to dead flat. Im 14 yrs old 5 ft 4 and i weight about 8 stone ( 52kg) or 110 pounds !
So could you please reccommend me a kite using my budget and specification ? Im REALLY interested to do some big jump after getting into it.

im no expert on power kiting. however, ill tell you, and im sure all the people here will agree, that a starter power kite is usially around 3-4m,
these are perfect for learning kite control etc etc etc
if you want to jump, they say that you need a 5m MINIMUM. This size kite, is not really suitable for a begginer.
im sure other guys here will have some better ideas, but my personal advice would be: get onto ebay, of some other forums that are based more in the
uk and get your self a 3 ish metre power kite cheap. (i picked up my eolo radsail 3m off ebay for £50 posted) if you could get somethigng like that
it would be good. then a bit later down the line, when you are a little more experienced with the power, and controls of the 3m i would go for a 5-6m
kite, for all those jumps you want to get. again, by keeping an eye out on ebay, and on some forums, you should easly be able to pick one up in your
budget
i know this isnt what youwanted to hear, but this would be my advice.

Thanks for the advice i'll be sure to search ebay. How was your radsail 3m for you ? And why a Eolo and not a radsail pro ? Oh and i have the beach
house in Frinton on sea ? Between clacton and Walton .

3m PL Hornet is an excellent beginner kite, and looks like it would fit your budget. Jumping is what attracted me to this sport so I went right out
and bought a Twister II 5.6. Its a great jumping kite, but a bit advanced for the novice power kite pilot. (my 2.6 Viper will be here any day) Grab a
3m and take some time mastering it before venturing into jumping. I think all on this forum would agree with this. Moving from a 1.4 to a 3m is a huge
step in good winds. Get good with kite control, scudding, etc first....jumping comes later :bouncing:

3m you say ? should i go 3m or skip to a 4m ? I have used my step brothers once of twice which i think was a flexifoil 6, ? it was green if that helps

3-4 is generally suggested for beginners. I would tend to say stick to the 3m for now. I wish I had gone smaller for my first kite...

i think a 3m is good for you. your quite light, and iff your in gusty inland winds for most of the year, you dont want to be over powered.
i love my 3m eolo radsail. it is an excelent begginer kite IMO and would deffinately reccomend it, especially if you can get one cheap like i did.
i got the basic, not the pro basicly because of cost. i also got this kite as it was for sale real cheap, and i knew if i waited about to see if a pro
came up it would be gone. as much as i would have liked the pro, the basic if perfect for what i need, and you cant go much wrong with £50 ehh ?
if your interested in the radsail 3m heres a couple ive found on ebay you might want to look at (they come up fairly regulaly)
this one is a 4m but wel in your price range:

if you dont go/get for any of these, and you want a radsail just type "radsail" into ebay. as i said, they are always popping up.
i woudl reccomend buying a used, cheaper first kite to get used to it though. this allows you more money to get a better quality kite next time, to do
all your jumps etc

I jumped into the sport with a 9.5m Ozone Frenzy, but would I recommend it, not a chance. The worst feeling is to be airborn unintentionally.

likewise I started with a 12m depower, let me tell you that was one of the dumbest ideas I have ever had. But hey I still love to kite and don't have
any broken bones YET.
go with the 3m if you can.
