Make a Kite Vest.

I stumbled across this one day and was astonished by the price:

$329. No way. So I got an old C kite and decided to make one myself. Well, now I know why they cost so much, they're tough to make!

First I cut the patterns out:

Then I went to our machine.. You need a tough machine for this if you don't know what you're doing because I had to sew through many layers.

4 hours later and I'm this far. Still have the collar to do. Pockets make it even tougher so if you try this, either be prepared to suffer, or make it without and use your jeans to carry stuff.

I'll let everyone know how the rest turns out. It's pretty cool to reuse a busted up old C kite though and recycle it into something unique. This guy I'm making it for logged a million hours on that old Rhino. It'll be cool to see him sporting it around at Kite events.

Good no wind project.

A.
