VIDEO:Camera Angle experiment (Now it works)
Enjoy
http://vimeo.com/5818790
I'm open for any critic or Ideas.
Tell me what angles you like and which ones you don't. When I get back home I have over 25 hours of footage to sort so if there is an angle that
everyone says not good then that one less file to look through.
:singing:Tommorow we will have 36+mph winds:wee:,
I don't think that I have enough guts to put a camera up in those winds but I should get some good shots from the front fork,we will see.

First off, what camera/editing software are you using?
I think this should be mentioned in every video posted; helpful information.
Secondly I enjoyed every angle you had out there! It really threw me for a loop at 2:17 when I couldn't figure out how you had a behind/above view
until I saw the poll. I have also been thinking of the poll to use as well.
Kite cam was a great and if I were to be on a long beach like that my shot's in the Binary Lies video would have worked out well too (short field)
Great angle!
Very well put together, it flowed very nicely!

The above/ behind view is actually a second buggy/Beach crusier with the camera attached to the mast. My daughter had to sit in the buggy to keep it
from jumping around alot.
I used a Pace Log finger camera with 550 tv lines and a Sony DCR HC42 as recorder. Software is normal old movie maker.
This is my second film that I put together so I'm really new at this. If you have any sugestions on software let me know.
Thanks for your opinion

i like the kite-cam-pointing at the driver, only when its park and ride... the sine wave makes me want to urp :megan: But its a cool angle
Same advice for the kite-cam- pointing forward
if you could park it like 5' off the ground, aim at the driver, that'd be a wicked sweet shot
All of the buggy mounts were really good... but you might want to reinforce the pole behind, or add a shock absorber to soften the jitters
i really like the shot off of the rear right axle...
Good choice in music... not enough LP in kite vids
overall: really good work! Looked like lots of fun!

cool somehow I quoted myself
I've got about 1 hour of it, maybe I can sell it for seasickness medication testing.
I do have alot of park and ride stuff but I'm saving that for my final film, I first just wanted to know what people liked and what not.
I do need to work on getting the camera not to vibrate so much. Yesterday I got some really good shots from the kite using a small counterweight on
the back of the camera, but if the wind isn't strong enough it has a high effect on the kite. as far as the buggy mounts go I have camera mounts that
were made for Rally race cars. They are made from a hard Plastic/rubber material that really absorbs the vibration But they are limited on
adjustability
Glad to see that people are likeing it and I hope more speek up because I am really interested to know both positive and negaitive critic

Yes the sine wave should be about 2 swoops and no more at a time, almost threw this Levi Garrett in the trash. LOL
The shots I like best is where the whole bug is in view and with the kite is even better.
But you had so many different views, it made the video great! I really liked all of them put together like that. This vid stands out because of it.
You know more about it than I do, so my only advice is to just keep em coming.

Thanks Hardrock, Thats what I'm looking for constructive critizem(wow I f##ked that one up)
Tommorow I was hoping to get to play in really strong winds but now they are forcasting rain ,we will see what happens.
for info the Kamera is mounted in a 5.0 U-Turn Oxigen basic (it is too much work to put it diffrent kites)on 16 meter lines, I have diffrent lenses
for the camera but I'm so new to this that I didn't have time to mess around with it before we came here but the next trip is being planned for
October (Holland) (@Rip come one over Dude I'll pick you up in Amsterdam)so anyone with expirence LET ME KNOW!!! Or are you keeping your secrets for
yourself?
