Handles Vs Bar

I have been riding for about 2 months and have a beamer and a blade. 3.6 on the Bmer and 8 for the blade. Right now I am flying with a bar and am wondering what advantages using handles will offer. I ride alot in parking lots and some on grass. I weigh 205 and have very good board skills.

I am thinking that the brakeing with the handles might help with the summer thermals that we have here in western SD.

Thanks Dan

Yahuh. Handles really offer finesse on the brakes for the light simmer winds when you need to tease the kite around the sky. That said, the new Ozone Turbo Bar really does good job of hitting the brakes on a turn.

8m Blade ?

Flexifoil?

3.6 to 8 whatever is a pretty big hole in your Quiver?

YES handles offer indipendent brake control. I was a huge supporter of bars and still like them for the simplicity but with handles you can fly a fixed bridle like it was designed to be flown. I put my 5m Ace on a bar right out of the bag. Many months later I put handles on it in some awfull inland wind. I was shocked at the added control I had. It saved the session ! I had to accept that handles are good that day and have slowley ended up with all my FB kite on handles now.

Handles vs. bar has been covered numerous times. Do a search on it. The majority seem to prefer static flying on handles.

Anyway, handles are cheap so definitely pick up a set and give them a try.
