my kite don't work right no mo

I've had a u-turn oxi 2 pro 3.5m for a year or so and been really really happy with it. It has been a great kite. Abut 3 weeks ago I ran it into a tree, soon as it hit I let go of the handles and coasted the buggy over to the tree. The tree was very small just planted this year, maybe 7 feet tall. The briddles got more and more tangled as I was trying to free it. Gentley I got it loose and coninued buggying for a short time and went home. The kite seemed fine after the tree but every time I have been out since it seems to get more tempermental luffing at weird times and flying without really powering up, sometimes looking not fully inflated. I have checked the lines and bridles, eventhough eveything looked good I took it all apart and redid everything and still it didn't fly quite right. what the hell?

who did you buy the kite from?

are you the first owner?

is there any rips / tears on the canopy?

when you got it into the tree were you tucking away? some stretch may have occurred, its not likely but could happen.

its really hard to tell whats wrong with it, not being there. pics might help too.

Shot in the dark:

Doesn't the Oxi II Pro have a fair amount of internal bracing?

Did any of them get damaged?

You checked that the bridle lines were not broken, can you get a listing of the appropriate lengths of the bridle lines and compare against yours?

Check them out If they are ok i would also guess internal damage

got it off ebay, still in the package.

no rips, tears

I was going maybe 15mph

It seems to me that it is bridle strech but I don't see how there coud have been that much force on the bridles. I double checked the kite last night, there was a single twist were the bridles come togetheron one side, could that be enough to cause the wierd stuff? I will check for internal damage today, I don't see how there could have been enough force for that either.
Thank you all for your help!

Checked the kite over super closely, no internal damage, not a stich out of place. I don't get it:crazy:

sounds odd

option 1: maybe adjust your brake lines

option 2: "are you bridles twisted at the pigtail?" - remove the Bridle Pig tail and straighten out the bridle lines one by one than connect them back together. your A / B / C disconnects very easily, and than do the same for your D Line (Brake Bridle)

option 3: send kite to me, or are you coming to SOBB?

Don't think I will be able to make sobb.
I cheched the bridles and there was a twist on one side, I haven't had it up since then, maybe that did the trick?
The brake lines are pretty slack and haven't changed since it was working right.

Thanks for the offer to look at it Ricardo, thats way cool
