New board question

ok
i'm not a jumper/freestyler. i've just buggied and snowkited (on skiis) so far. just want to cruise and learn small jumps so that when it(a jump) happens i'm prepared.
i bought used MBS Pro90. i will be on turf. i know the board is plenty more than i need but then it ought to easily out last me.
anyhoo-tires say max 60psi.
i can only get ~32 into them with a new bicycle pump. two air gages both read ~32 psi.
the previous owner was size 13 feet. i am a 10.
i adjusted the binding mounts in a notch on both sides. and readjusted the straps while wearing my regular 'kiting' shoes.
just rolling around the driveway it seems that i can turn sharper toe side. should i readjust bindings so i can put more force on them to pull tighter heel side turn?
i don't really want to have my feet too snug/locked in or do I?
any other advice?
what should i be concentrating(drills) in these beginning stages. i'm sure my kite skills are up to snuff for my modest intentions of land boarding.
thanks,
Paul

IMO you want the foot straps tight enough that when you lean forward to do toe side pressure, you don't have to lift your heels but loose enough to get into them easily & bail out easily ... but that's IMO.
If you buggy, then riding an ATB should be easy! Get up go and ride :) figure it out from there!

And buy a new pump ;)

Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

You should be fine with 30+psi. i very rarely put 60psi in my tires as you tend to feel every bump and dip.

to set up your bindings, just stand on the board with your toes pointing out about 40 degrees then tighten the bindings up until you feel a comfortable pressure. then put your feet back into a normal stance to lock then into place.

the pro 90 is a great board but as with all skate truck boards the trick is to set them up to your style. when you go out take a spanner with you. if you find the trucks are too stiff and dont turn then loosen the trucks off by one turn at a time until you get the turning circle you need. and if they are too slack then tighten them the same way.

getting going. point your board at 45degrees to the direction of travel. dip the kite for abit of power. go towards the kite to get abit of speed then start to carve up wind abit . at first dont try to get too far up wind as you will just stop just try and go back and forth between 2 fixed points.

thanx carl,

i figured tires are tires and low air is softer/slower ride with higher risk of busting a bead. just wanted to know if there are some major/minor do's and dont's one should be aware of.
i was up late reading/watching youtube. i spent some time at MBS' site.
a little bewildered and hopefully somewhat enlightened.
MBS suggests that beginners set tires to 5-15psi. slow.
the twistar hub guide recommends that tires are inflated to 35psi and warns no more than 50lbs.
*my bicycle pump gets noticeably more resistant and downright difficult to stroke at about 30-32psi so thats all i put in.
i wonder if it is OK to have twistar hub mounted tires under inflated to5-15 for beginner reasons?
the binding tut was helpful. the guy(jon) explained that having the bindings set too tight is not preferred. he static jumped a board with bindings loosened right off to prove the point.
looking forward to getting some boarding done now.
i just realized that since the original owner has about 40-50 lbs on me so i should probably 'loosen' the steering a bit? how do i find what stock setting is? maybe the guy is like me and never fiddles with settings/leaves everything at factory defualts and get's used to it.
i wonder how loose is too loose? i'm guessing if your getting a lot of wobbling start tightening up?
