line snapped 2 times!
Took my 2.0 2line out to warm up.
after like 15min, the wind goes from 15km/h (9mp/h) to 25 (16)!
All the big kites disappear from the beach.
My line just snaps at the coloured protection sleeve where it's connected to my handle.
I fix it with a new larkshead, continue flying, then it snaps in the middle of my line :o
Should I fix this line or replace it with a stronger one?
Its a dyneema line, the only thing it says is from 1 to 5 Bf.
ps: didn't even bother unpacking my new 3.9 viper...

probably either line damage\wear or low line strength
if it's good line strength with line damage it'd still break cuz damage would decrease line strength

lol, thanks!
Is a 110kg line (240 pounds) enough for a 2.0 2line kite? or should I go for the 250kg (550 pounds)

Better safe than sorry. Might want the stronger line. Though I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will chime in shortly with proper weights and
lengths for you to use

Do you know what line strength you had that snapped?
I'd say for 2.0m kite 110kg\240# lines are enough.
BTW, you said you fixed it with a larkshead, I was wondering how did you get a loop on the line to make it into a larkshead, cuz if it's a bad know
then it might have been part of the problem.

I do not know the line strength, it came with the kite, and it's not a quality kite brand.
I fixed it with a new larkshead (without those coloured protection sleeves around the line)
The second snap was in the middle of the line, not at the new larkshead.
should I get some new sleeves too?

One time I actually had the leader break from the handle where it came out of the handle. the rubber part that was suposed to protect the line from
the metal hole of the handle wore out and then it didn't take long for the metal to saw through the leader line (while I was in the air on a jump!).
But this probably doesn't help you at all, cause it was the leader that broke on mine - not the line.
