Technique evolved to an elaborate ritual of hauling in single rear lines and flagging kite out, but quite frankly this was 2003 flysurfer pshyco stuff.
When I brought the 14 i was hopeful for better safety to be honest. However, the kite in itself is perfectly ok. Just the bar and primary saftey on landing was a big let down.
So whats HQ going to do for its current customers?

In order to retrofit an original NEO with TDS one would need to add additional bridle points to the sail, right down the center of the wing. This would not be an easy retrofit for most people.

assuming im not like most people and actually value my safty and those around me, then I for one would have no hesitation to have the mod fitted. Why would you not.
Given that I would also happily pay some money to an expert to do so [modification].
I guess the big question once again is - "what is hq going to do for its current customers?" can i suggest a notice published showing the mod and pictures and instruction to allow users to modify if they wish.
This said in the context of being somewhat of a fan of the NEO performance and promise. As an investor in the brand, I am happy to talk up the positives, but equally happy to push for the negatives to be rectified. If this was the car industry, there would have been a safety notice, a general recall, or fixes posted.

If you guys at HQ ever head down this way (the Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina) please let me know. We have a couple HQ dealers in the area FWIW.
