I dont know about technical but the BS is sure flying.

Im going to get a kite with a 10:1 L/D and fly it in 30MPH winds and im going to go 300MPH with it.
IM 6ft tall and fly on 50 ft lines with a 10ft wide kite and it will go 3000 MPH LOL

Ive had many discussions with people who have converted Fixed kites to depower. There is no big loss in power. Depending on the kite some have even slightly increased the power as the airfoil can be optimized.
