Cheap landboard

Does anyone have a landboard that they don't want anymore that they would be willing to sell for less than 80$? I know that is cheap, but even if its not in great condition, as long as the wheels and bearings work along with the board not breaking.

I got a decent MBS Core 16 - excellent wheels and bearings - it just needs bindings. Thing is, shipping can be nearly half the added cost.

I've never owned a landboard before. What does it take to put on bindings?

MBS website has a few styles available - this has holes for the earlier 2 post/velcro bindings (which I think I prefer). You just need to bolt a set on the deck - but may need to drill new holes if you get a different binding. 'Course, you can sort'a kite w/o bindings - it's just not too practical, to say the least!

I might be able to help you with an ATB, but it'd be more like $100. The upside is that it's effectively brand new and there wouldn't be any shipping. Hopefully I'll see you on Sunday (you did see Ragden's meet-up post, right?).

I hope I'll be able make it Sunday morning, but I might not be able to go. I will definitely be out kiting on Monday. If I get a chance to try a landboard in decent winds sometime soon, I'll probably buy that board from you. 100 is very reasonable if its new especially without shipping. What kind of board is it?

It's the MBS Atom 95 in my sig. They run about $160 from a store. You'll notice the effectively portion of my new statement. I did a couple of very short down hill runs on it to test it out. Then I got the GI board that I like better. There's no damage or wear to the board, thus my phrasing as "effectively brand new". It's a good deal though, if I do say so myself :bouncing:

How light is the ak103? is it more for freestyling than the mbs?

The AK is a couple of pounds lighter with bionic trucks on it and it definitely feels lighter too. The thing you'd have to watch out for on the AK that I have is that with the Talon bindings that came on it, a 9 1/2US shoe barely fits, other than that it's a great board :bigok:. As for more freestyling, I wouldn't even begin to know how to quantify that well enough to answer the question :dunno:...

Hmm... now barely fits you're saying its a bit too small?

Ive got an avg. of 10.5 size shoes, so id need to change the bindings.

It's all pretty much covered in this post --> http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=10749&p...
I should add that the bindings have loosened up a bit, but it's still harder to kick out of them than I'd like it to be.
