more power!

Ok so my twister is a great kite, but lately in 10ish mph winds I'm just not feeling the grunt for jumping. Unfortunately down in sw fl we have entered our wind starved season it would seem so here I am asking advice on which way to go from here. I haven't done much landboarding as we don't have very many places boarding is possible. (All the local soccer fields are over run) I have yet to sit my rear in a bug so I'm kind of limited to static flying atm. Typical wind days lately have been 5-10 occasionally hitting 12+ does a fb exist that will lift my 190 lb self in such low winds? I'd love to go arc but I think the arc would hate me in these conditions lol! Any advice is appreciated! Thanks guys!

Giant Blade, or maybe a 12m pansh ace?

8m ace is a cheap step up, other than that a twister II 7.7, Blade 8.5, ???

the ace is actually a pretty good choice for you due to its being a good early starter in low winds. twister is also an OK early starter, the blade not so good. the biggest problems with the ace are its lack of stablity in anything less than pure offshore winds and its turning speed, very slow.

10m reflex is a outside candidate.

You could also look into the older blade, the III was made in a 10.5, there's a fine depower mod that goes with it.

Don't go with the arc plans unless you get a lot of 12 knots and up.

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

A 12 Ace will lift you and will also have a very small window of flight (wind 4 to 6 or 7mph). A 12.5 Blaze will be better than the Ace in both gusty wind and more of a wind window (4 to 8mph). If you can fly other than static you can go to even higher winds. But both are big kites and are slow turning. You might say you have to have Hooj Ballz. Look in the for sale section for some great prices for the 2 kites mentioned above, Close out of Pansh kites.

He lives about 100 miles south of me, its been light winds here for Aug and Sept but if you chase the seabreeze you can find wind! Things are starting to improve, have wind predicted for the rest of the week! I still was able to get 15 sessions in the past 2 months and had 3 of those powered up on the 10m venom. Just watch ikitesurf and wait for pressure to drop! Theres wind out there but you have to be there at the right time.....aj

Thanks for all the suggestions! AJ, I didn't know u were local :P the wind has been non existant here lately, and I fly right on the beach. Ill start praying to the wind gods and keep my eyes peeled for a hooj ballz kite! Just hate low wind, I keep remembering what my twister did in 15+ and now that I'm a bit more skilled and my ballz have grown to hooj, I want more! Lol

I just moved from Texas in August, but have spent some time over here the past 4 yrs. Been flying my 19m mostly except for those 10m sessions. Loving the white sand and blue water!.............aj

100 miles north of me puts you in kitesurf territory I would imagine...send some of that wind this way! I eventually want to get on the water but the wind down here has had the gnats laughing at it lately :P

Power, if there's enough wind on Sunday, you can try one of my arcs.
