15 mph winds and I would guess a 4 or 5m beamer makes for a scream of a good time.
Once you get the buggy jitters out and learn to use the kite and buggy together for control, you will be much more comfortable in those winds. I am sure that you must have had a little death wobble going on! Don't be ashamed of letting go, it sure beats stopping via tree or pond or park bench. LOL see you at ww.

Enjoy these times when any buggy time is a huge rush - later you may become a little jaded into only liking crazy sessions with ultra speed runs. It only gets better, more scary=more fun.

You would be fine in those winds with a 3m to learn on unless you are in high grass or something. Just rolling at walk/run speed is scary and thrilling enough at this stage. 4-5m is going to be much more than you need to learn on giving you more power than you need and also giving you a slower to respond kite making it more difficult to catch up on a wrong kite position. I still get excited every time I get to unload the buggy and roll away in it. :singing:

I'm jealous that you got to buggy first cheezycheese . Glad you enjoyed it though... and that you failed to run into anything

Great for you cheezycheese! I had a sweet session Sat. am at the fairgrounds in the same winds, but gusting to 20+, using my 2m BeamerIV. I also used the NPW 4.8, but the side pull in gusts over 20 can flip the buggy in a flash, so it takes Hooj Ballz to fly that kite in those conditions!lol

To give perspective, I flew today and the winds were a little shifty and going from nothing to probably 22 mph. It wasn't brutal because the wind would ramp up slow enough that it didn't pluck me out of the buggy but it constantly kept me on my toes (literally a few times). I was flying my new Reactor II 5.5 meter. It would've been too much at times for someone learning. At times I was sliding all 3 wheels sideways when a gust would hit the kite. My 2m Beamer would've been plenty for someone learning when the wind was actually blowing. A 3m would've been fine for 80% of the day.
