duck feet
Hello everyone
I have a question or 2
About the duck foot stance, how many degrees should my boot bindings be set at? The bindings max out at 45 degrees. I was also told to remove the
high back support on the bindings too, do you loose ankle support when doing that?
I just got my new 11m Frenzy depower kite, all I can say is wow what an amazing kite, I thought my 5m ace pulled hard...
Is there any tuning tips that you know of that I can do to this kite ie: trim or cam cleet
Looking forward to a crap load of snow now
Thanks alot
Steve

If you remove the high back support on the binding, how will you edge heel side?
You want to search a snowboard site for advice on settings ... if you have your bindings set at 90 degrees to each other, you risk knee damage etc
...!
I think mine were set at like 15 and 5 degrees - you want it set to a natural stance ...
Tuning tips - make sure the edges of the board are tuned dull edges don't erm
edge. Learn how to do it yourself, buy the $20 tool and do it after every session.
Learn how to wax the board buy the gear, do it yourself and charge your buddies
$20 to do theirs
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

yep agreed, stand like your doing a squat with good form, thats a good place to start for binding settings. You can tweak from there once you get a
feel

Oh, I said in another thread that my board has more nose than tail so I don't do a lot of switch?goofy?backwards? riding, so I point forwards more ...
Jump in the air, land on flat feet and don't move - trace your feet's outline on the floor and set your bindings to that

I have my bindings set to 15, -15 when I snowkite. Downhill riding its 30, 15. Really, you just need to figure out what is comfortable for you.

Neighbors are funny/strange. I tend to monitor the radar for their paranoia level.
A million years ago, I was down in Texas at my parents house. I was riding a motorcycle at the time. Helmet, boots, jacket, gloves... the whole
nine. One day, I had a lot of little errands to do.... lots of stops with occasional pitstops at the house. Finished errands, grabbed lunch, and was
enjoying a shower to cool off.
Really (really) agressive knocking (pounding?) on the door launches me out of the shower, soaking wet, with a towel around my waist. At the door, I
am greeted by a male and female police officer.
Them: "Excuse me, sir. Do you live here?"
Me: "Errrr.....umm... my parents do." (while thinking: "No, I just broke in to use the shower")
Them: "A neighbor reported they saw a motorcycle coming and leaving this location, with items in a knapsack. "
Me: "Errr...um... yes, it's mine. I was running errands this morning." (Thinking:"Well, I wanted to limit it to one crime today and picked breaking
and entering... While a motorcycle has less hauling capacity, I was going to save grand theft auto for the weekend.")
Them: "Do you have any identification, sir?"
Me: I must have given a look, because the female cop looked like she was having a hard time keeping a straight face and just wanted to leave before
losing all composure. I figured it was a good thing they were keep such a close eye on my parent's place, so I just acquiesced and asked them to wait
while I got my wallet. Left the door open, so it was a pretty safe bet I wasn't coming back with a gun, wearing just a towel.
Them: "Thank you sir, have a pleasant day."
Me: "You too" (Thinking: I can't hear you anymore.... all the soap has dried in my ears.)
You can not... (absolutely can not) make up this kind of stuff.
ATB,
Sam

I'm 15 -15 myself too - both for snowkiting and downhill. I practice riding switch alot and find it a lot easier with a duck foot stance.

Yes but it's still warm in this part of the world, so I tend to wander around inside naked :D
I must not have told you about our whack-job neighbors who tried to blame our cat for jumping on their car and scratching the paint then cornered my
wife and tried to con her into signing a form agreeing to pay for all and any damages ... basically they tried to trick us into paying for a full
repaint. The law was on our side in this one so we told their dishonest asses that we weren't paying ...
So now the neighbors have a new tactic - everytime we walk out the front door, the wife comes rushing out to stand in her garden and glare at us
:puzzled: we ignore them naturally, so she's upped her game by growling like a dog

They must have had really #@%$#!ty paint on the car. My cats used to walk, run, and jump all over my car and it never had a mark on it.

Brand new car, maybe a month old ... don't buy a Daihatsu the thing that burned
my buns is there are a large number of cats in this neighborhood - most of them strays. I'm betting they saw A cat and we're the only people they
definitely knew who owned one so ... bastards!

Reminds me of India, everyone there washes their cars atleast 3times a week.
if you were serious about the vacuuming the concrete, that's already in the OCD range i would think...
