6m - 8m depower

Hi, I'm looking for 6-8m depower kite complete ready to hit the snow. I'm looking for something around $300. Do you have something? Thanks

Jovver was selling a RTF 10m Blaze II, it's a little larger than what you're after, but may fit the bill.... I think he was looking for something in the $300 neighborhood.

Hi. Thanks for nice tip. However, I'm bit scared of a kite this size. 7-8 would be much better.

Well the Blaze II is lower aspect, and is very stable and forgiving of mistakes. It isn't as scary as it seems.

What is it with the aspect? What difference does it make?

Aspect ratio (AR) is the wingspan of the wing squared divided by the total surface area. AR = b^2/A. A higher aspect ratio kite is long and skinny, will move faster in the wind window, and will produce more lift. They are often much more twitchy and sensitive to input. Take some extreme examples with open cell depowers. A Blaze II like mine has an AR of 3.5, which I believe is standard for beginner kites At the opposite end try an Ozone Manta which has an aspect ratio of 4-over 4.5 depending on which model you grab. The Manta will produce much more lift because of the wing design.
