Used Buggy Wheels

I am not at all new to kiting or power kites. But I am just getting the nerve to frey from giant kites to buggying. I have a few friends that buggy and have inspected there buggies many times. And now I am ready to fire up the mig welder and the tubing bender to make my own. But finding sturty light weight wheels has been an issue.
So to make a long story longer! I am looking for some used wheels to get started.
Thanks in advance, Dave.

Are you looking for Bigfoots or wheelbarrow tires? If it's wheelbarrows you can find a plethora on ebay ($15 and up with rims) or you can go to your local hardware store ($20 and up). Bigfoots are going to be a bit pricier ($45 and up each for the Nankang slicks - if you can find them - Eurotracks and the like will cost you $80 and up a piece.

Where abouts are you located?

What kind of design are you working with for your buggy?

Hey Dave, have you had a look at www.popeyethewelder.com ? Lots of home builds there for inspiration. Nice meeting ya in Lowville(if you're the Dave I'm thinking of) Didn't get to see ya fight the roc's tho, too gusty! I caught some nice breezes at the back turn on Sunday! Bob

Yeah his photo album has some extreme and some shakey buggies. All interesting and lots of ideas.
Thanks, Dave
