Wanted, Pass the Arc

I would really like to try an arc an no one near me has one. Is anyone willing to pass around an arc. I am not picky about which one. I just would really like a chance to experience all the unique aspects of flying an arc.

If not, I understand and will wait till I can travel to try one.
Thanks

I was gonna say you could try mine but I'm 5 hours away from ya and there's arc flyers at the coast anyways. I'd rather travel 5 hours towards the ocean over 5 hours towards Idaho any day :D

Soccerflyer, I am driving to California in about 6 weeks and one of my daily endpoints is in Oklahoma City. If that's close enough for a rendezvous, I'll have 4 arcs to choose from and would love to get you arcumsised. I wouldn't want to delay more than a few hours but that's long enough to get you some experience under your harness. Looks like it would be just over 2 hours for you each way. In September, I drove over 3 hours and back in the same day for maybe 3 hours of kite surfing in Charleston, SC. It was worth it.

I have a v116m that I would consider throwing out there. No mods done. It's a bit battered and bruised, but still flies and jumps fine.
My only problem is I can't let the bar go since I need it for my Batwing.
I think a 55+ cm bar and 23+m lines are in order. A long throw is essential also.
Let me know if this helps.

I have an extra bar from a lei 16m that bladerunner sold me. I am not sure on how long it is. I don't have any lines for it that work though. I have thought about getting a set of lines but I haven't really needed them yet.

The bar would need to have the correct safety systems for a twinskin.

Check the length of the bar, it's probably close. I use a 55 cm bar, and wouldn't mind a longer one for better turning in lower winds only. Powered up it's fine as is.
On your 16m bar, how long of throw do you have? The longer the better, imo. Also, as mentioned, the safety is a front line style, and has considerable load imposed on it, so some old flimsy pos won't do. (just sayin) I have also used a rear line safety tho and it workes fine, but never in higher winds, so I'm not sure of the consequences.
Now as I mentioned, this kite has seen it's day, (has some repairs where the ripstop meets the spar's pocket) and is definately heading towards the sunset, but I fly it powered without hesitation. I performed the repair 2.5 years ago and have had many, many sessions without signs of further wear.
I could post pics, but my girlfriend is away for a week with the camera, so bear with me on that...

That is awesome!! I'm there - just let me know when. Let's see 6 weeks would make it the week before Christmas? Man, that would be perfect. Thanks for the offer!! I have been to OK city a few times. Hope it works out!!

This would be sweet too! Sounds like we might could get something worked out. I have a bar and lines for the waroo I just bought. Would they work? I need to find out how long the bar is . . . . .

I will have to check the safety systems and probably try and post a pic so someone else can weigh in if it will work. If we can get it going I am willing to send my bar and lines on with the kite. Of course I would like them back but if it will give someone else a chance to try an arc that would be great.

I measured my bar and converted it to centimeters. I think it is 52cm? Does that sound right? That is from tip of bar to tip.

Rip, you might order a dozen of them. Everyone is going to just want to keep it and not pass it on. Sort of like when the salesman uses the "just take the puppy/car home with you tonight and think about it" sales technique.
