Oh dear :(
Y'all remember I bought a 19m VenomII a while back? Like, 4 months ago? Had it sent to a buddy on base in Tokyo cos the shipping was half the price
...
Well, after literally months of "Dude I'll send it out on Wednesday this week I promise" and me biting my tongue, trying not to climb on his back, my
'good' buddy assures me (twice) he sent the kite 2 Sundays ago ... by courier :ticking: nothings arrived and we called the company and they've had
nothing for this address in the past few months ...
... I'm hoping to Murphy's Law this one into resolving itself - by whinging about it openly and in public, it should - according to The Law - arrive
tomorrow and make me look like an ass ...
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Yeah. I ordered my new Frenzies on Thursday (yes, Thanksgiving Day). I didn't really expect them to be mailed out by Kent until today (Tuesday).
Then I spoke to Kent on Monday and found out that while he had expected them to be delivered to his shop on Friday, he didn't have them yet. So I'm
pretty sure that I won't see them until around the end of next week, which matched up with my original expectations anyway. And yet, some how I was
still disappointed not to receive tracking info yesterday . Silly,
isn't it? Worse, I'm sure that once they show up, I'll likely have to wait a month or more until I get good winds to use them in, but I still wish
they were here right now .

It should look something like twisting your ankle on a snowboard with one foot in the bindings. It is windy here now with my ankle wrapped up.

From Tokyo to Kyoto ... about 500km. I bought the kite in late August, arrived mid September I had a PDA sent from Tokyo this week by the same company - took 3 days from sending to arriving ...
Like I said, he said he'd actually given it to the courier 2 Sundays back and on this Monday said yeah yeah I sent it ...!
The real pisser is, there's a Synergy 19 for sale SOMEWHERE (is secret :D ) and if he's lost my V2 then I want to jump on that ...!
Waiting for the toys to arrive is fine, I have no problem with that - not knowing for sure whether it'll arrive or not is what's burning my muffins
...!
I know the guys doing me a favour but #@%$#!, if he's taken on responsibility for forwarding it then he should goddamn forward it!
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

you never know, you might get that kite after all.... I bought a kite recently and sent the guy on a bit of a run-around, so it does happen.... All
was good in the end but the cash came in about a month late, all almost but not quite my fault....

I'm playing with myself at the moment :bigok:
Since I've felt up to trying a kite out, we've had no wind on the weekends as yet and it's dark by the time I finish work
I did open the bag and have a sniff though Rip smells and looks brand new!
Thanks again
J-post is actually pretty slick ... cheaper than anywhere else in the world and muy efficient - you can usually track the package from the reciept
number, without shelling out for more expensive services!

I've said it before, but as far as I'm concerned, once seller has put it in the post his responsibility is done and until it arrives the postal
service is responsible.
In this case, it was Phil the bloody slacker's fault ... admittedly, all I'm
going to do is unroll it, admire the crisp blacks and brilliant blues and sparkling orange and then roll it up again so there wasn't any real rush ... it arrived in Japan the day before I broke my
wrist, after all :D
... there is a snowkiting festival in February, up in Niigata I'd like to go to but we'll see ...
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...
