Thanks, Good read. I like the concept. I'll post it on the micro hydro energy site I frequent. Presure from falling water (head) has been used for
centuries for power use. Using tides is a recent venture and a new world of opportunity.
I know they have giant turbines harnessing the tides in the East River off Manhatten, but I don't know how well they are working out.

Interesting idea but completely retarded ... just what the ocean needs, more crap dumped in it floating around randomly and large tracks of it
off-limits to those who wish to use it ...!
The only 'green' power system that makes total sense to me is the one developed in Scotland that uses the waves to drive a column of air over a
turbine. Almost zero impact on the environment and it could be built to disappear into the scenery. Unlike ugly-ass windmills ...

I like the kite idea better, but the extension cord would get all tangled up. And I don't think bigfoot will work on the buggy:dunno:

There's still stuff spinning around, lurking at the bottom of the ocean making a nuisance of itself

As a dirt worshiping tree hugger I am all for green energy. But in this case I have to side with Kam. This looks like a great concept on paper. But
what about storms? I was unable to read the entire artical because it froze my PC up. But it looks like each unit is hooj to say the least. What
happens if a ship or even pleasure boat gets pushed into there area?
Just wondering as I know it is just a concept as of now. But many issues would need to be worked out. And by the time they passed all the gov. regs
they wouldn't work any way.
It would be like having a bunch of hooj maises (spelling?) swinging around under water. Scarry I think.

my vote for green power is still microwave... Hooj-a$$ solar reciever in space collects massive amounts of energy, and beams it to a reciever on
earth... man, simcity2000 was a great game

That's actually the main focus of the new gundam series where they have giant towers that extend to space and are equipped with solar pannels.
This is also a good idea if you want to send things into space, running an elevator to space would be cheaper in the long rung, using up less
resources like fuel needed to get something up there. I'm sorry im an anime geek ...
But personally ithink th is is a great idea sure were dumping something into the ocean, but im sure they're gonna maintain it to make sure they're not
harming the enviornment, and plus the ocean is large enough to have some things in it...

All these great creative ideas for making power but does nobody else think of the impact on the rest of the world? :ticking:
Jolt - you want Gundam toys, models etc? We got mountains of them :D I've thought about buying some and seeing if they'll sell on eBay but have no
idea and basically I'm lazy

Try this, wait for the next big thing to come out from one of the companies, like nintendo or something, then jump on it asap, the opportunities are
out there...
