I think that Crosskates have the means to be a really good kiteskate with a few changes. I've talked with these guys in the past and offered to make
recommendations for creating a version specifically for kiteskating. They were to send over a couple sets for testing, but have heard nothing since
(been 2 years).
I guess they weren't too interested in getting into the kite market, but if someone were to make the investment, I suggest the following
modifications:
* prevent the front wheels from steering side to side
* disable the roll-back brake to allow wheel back-spin
* remove all brakes
* upgrade wheels bearings
Keep in mind that Crosskates were not designed or tested for high speed or long distance. These issues came up in our initial discussions.
They certainly are a polished product. However, for the money, I'll stick to making my own:

Update: I noticed the store link you provided shows them as out of stock and the
Crosskate website doesn't seem to work. Wonder what that means?!
