I have both kites and have flown them, not so much...(not my favorites)
Savage is not a beginner kite, a lot of kick your a$$ attitude, I have a 6.5 and the 8.5. lots of power and lots of lift for jumping. The 6.5 is very quick in turning and the 8.5 is a little slower but still quicker than you would guess for that size. Been caught off guard a couple of time and got spanked by the 6.5. I would say the kites are great buggy jumping kites with a lot of speed, You will need to ride the brakes a bit in gusty wind, it like clean air. Overall not a bad kite for the price.
EVO 2, I have the 10m. Depower is not my favorite but it is nice in low winds and not as quick in the turns as I had hoped for(compared to FB kites), I do like the kite for learning to use a ATB and the buggy is OK for just cruising the beach. I would say it is a beginner to intermediate depower kite.

I have not flown a Rage so I can't compare them. My favorite kites are the PKD Soulfly and the Combat. If I was to compare the Savage to the Soulfly the Soulfly is easier to fly in not needing so much brake input, the Savage needs more brake input because it is more sensitive to overshooting the edge of the window due to the speed in which it moves across the window. It also overshoots the zenith. Because it is so quick you have to beware of where its at or you are to late. My son fly's the 6.5 all the time and is good at static jumping, he likes the Savage a lot.
Like I said earlier the Savage is a great kite as are the other kites, the Savage is more in line of a high aspect kite that needs to be flown hard and it will surely deliver an awesome ride. You cant go out and play with it, so to say, any more than a person would just drive a Lamborghini.
Sorry I cant do a comparison for you, but I think there is a 8.5 Savage for sale on the forum at a price you cant beat.
