The No Knots Revolution
While scouring the net for Power Blast 4-8 videos (there seems to be just 3 in all the world) I found this page ...
http://www.thedurants.net/kites/quad/no.knots/index.html
For hiding the knots on Revs so you don't tangle the lines in them ... I actually find my big problem is the doofy metal triangle loops on the handles
- somehow, I manage to loop the line from one handle behind the corner of the triangle on the other on a regular basis and get in trouble - looks
seriously uncool I'm sure
Any solutions?
Yeah... I got a kite. Or two...

Fist thing you need to do is go total power with the kite. The triangle clips on the ends of the handles will yank out. Then you just make your own
handles out of rebar. :Ange09:
Well at least that is what I did!!!

If I recall, they don't use the metal triangles on the Power Blast 4-8 because they won't hold up. The handles should be a larger carbon fiber handle
that the metal triangle rings wouldn't even fit on anyways. The handles should have two bends in them, one on top above your hand position and one on
the bottom below your hand position. If your handles are the stainless handles with the metal rings then those are not the factory supplied handles
for the 4-8.
I guess I am one of the 3 that has the 4-8.... LOL Actually there are a couple pilots in our group here that have 2-4's and 4-8's.

BTW - for the revolution stainless handles with the triangle clips, to get rid of the clips, just use some pliers to remove the clips, then pull off
the rubber caps. Insert a standard plastic wall anchor into the end of the stainless tube, then use the supplied screw that came with the wall anchor
and put that in to tighten up the anchor into the stainless. Before you tighten up all the way, poke a hole in the very end of the rubber cap large
enough for your attachment line to go through, run your attachment line through the hole and fasten around the top of the screw in the anchor.
Tighten the screw up the rest of the way to secure the attachment line and then slide the rubber cap down over the whole thing, pulling the attachment
line back out while you slide the cap on.
There, totally snag-less handles for less than a buck.

Mine were carbon with the clips. And one came out without notice leaving me on my but and the kite doing a funny dance.

Was on about the handles that came with my 1.5 SLE ... I'll need to have a think about the wall plug solution - gotta rattle it around the brain to
see if I can make sense of it
Cheers Kent - your name keeps popping up over and over when I look around for info on the PB4-8

Thats very interesting Rocfighter, the handles on the PB 4-8 are about an inch in diameter with padding so it would have to be a very huge clip to fit
around it. I have never seen one of those with the 4-8 and I have had one since the day it was released. The handles supplied with the 4-8 today all
have a larger black cap on the top and bottom and the leader lines run straight into the center of the handles where they are connected - no metal
clips of any sort at all. Checked most of the ones we have in stock and double checked my own ones to make sure - also, the replacement handles are
the same, no clips.
You must have got a unique one or the handles may not be official Rev ones...
Kami - thanks, I have been flying Rev's for quite a few years now along with just about everything else. I do own appx. 50 Rev's in my personal collection and have every model they make, even the UFO which is fun in zero
wind.

You may be right about the handles not being official. The carbon held up fine for a long while after I modified them with rings. But the clips where
not at all up to the challange.
