kite speed

hi, i'm a newbie and learning fast the painful way! i took my 3m pkd buster out yesterday in wind that was far too strong for someone who still has little control of the kite, any way, igot a hell of a lot of air and was deposited back to earth with a bump, i can now hardly walk on my left leg as i hurt my knee. notwithstanding, i want to take my kite out today! on the bridle, where the lines attatch, there are four knots, if i attatch the flying lines closer to the back of the kite so that i am altering the position of the kite, will this slow it down??

should. I had one of these, but its been a while. Putting the bridle closer to the rear of the kite should slow it down, but give a little more lift as compared to the previous setting.

thanx scoopy, when you say lift, do you mean upwards when the kite is directly above?
