I recall you had wanted to get folks together the weekend after KTAI (which is Jan 19-21, 2010). Is that still the plan? And were you thinking El Mirage or Ivanpah. We could get down to Elmer's that weekend, but Ivanpah would be a bit harder to do.

Hey Sailors,
The KTAI trade show is being held at the Primm Valley resort 19-21 January 2010.
As many of us will be at Primm for that trade show, holding any gathering anywhere else would be conta-indicated.
Nothing formal.
The weekends before and after the KTAI show, there will be a buggy presence on Ivanpah Dry Lake bed - weather allowing.

Moving on the nabx pre-event and starting at El Mirage.
The $15/day fee at Elmer's causes me to want to head straight for Superior.
What are your thoughts about that?

Depends if Superior is still available.

Elmers gets better wind overall. And has a better surface and more interesting terain. Even with all the off-roaders.

If Superior is closed to us, then $30 for more than one day at Elmers is worth it. Otherwise, I'd like to get one day at Elmers (Saturday), then head to Superior.

Re: January gathering... we will check the calendar and see what works. Ivanpah is just enough further away (than Elmers) that it makes a weekend trip questionable.

Re: NABX pre-event... we like both Elmers and Superior for different reasons. Would prefer a few days on Elmers and then relocating to Superior as we've done in past years. The cost for Elmers is trivial compared to the travel expense; our time; and what we get out of it ;-)
