Do you know how to fly a 4-line power kite? If you don't you WILL get hurt.
take it out in winds less than 10 mph or so, put it on low AoA, and you'll be fine unless you're a super lightweight or something.... The UK is not
known for its gentle winter winds, good luck finding the right conditions! you want smooth wind from the ocean, not gusty on/off wind. yes you will
get pulled over and dragged but it shouldn't be too violent if less than 10 mph. 15 mph and up you're looking at really serious risk! like 50/50
you'll break something in 15 minutes or less IMO
Take somebody with you... Try to find other kiters to fly with, U R in the UK which has more kiters than anywhere else, shouldn't be too hard...
Kitecrowd and racekites are the good places to find flyers local to you...
If you haven't flown before and you're on your own, be very very careful, but it's not impossible. It really is best to get good on an easy 2-3 m
kite first.
fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....
sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...
also a couple of arcs, 12 syn and 12 phanny, but i\'m not yet up to speed on them.

The shop that sold you that kite as your first kite is showing you they do not care about your safety
Please find others to go out flying with you, put the kite in the low lift setting and please start out in light winds. I hate to see another broken
kiter.

Yeah, that's like me telling my mum not to worry, doesn't work! We're going to worry anyways...
When I teach folks it usually takes them about four to five hours and 2-3 kites before they are confident enough in their skills to fly my 5m / 6.5m
kites... I used to get people going on them in less, but I reckon I'm just lucky I didn't get anyone hurt! Also when I get people going on them now
they are in much better control.
When you out yourself on the UK forums, mention the name of the shop which sold you the blade, see what folks have to say... BTW you may well find
somebody willing to teach you in return for having a go on that beast...
Have you found some good basic tutorials online yet? I can't think of any for the complete beginner, they all say get a 2-3 meter first!
