If any of you are in the sugarland / houston area, there's a kite festival planned for february 6, 2010 from 10am to 4pm at the Sugarland Memorial Park. The park is right behind the University of Houston on University drive off hiway 59.

It would be great to bring your kids. I doubt there will be any power kites there but I figure I might bring mine. I've been on that field many times and the wind is real squirly. The field is big enough to buggy in but not very smooth.
