ArmourAll on harness?
I have a Dakine Fusion Seat harness that was used in the salt water a bit. Was wondering if ArmourAll or similiar protectant would help revitalize
it. Since I use it for landboarding over jeans, a slip/sliding factor wouldn't be involved.
A good sesh brings Karmic Kalm...

I get about 250 sessions from mine before they fall apart. I have to buy a new one each yr! Just rinse every once in a while and it will be fine.
Salt water does not mildew but fresh water does!..............aj

I agree about one a year . my waist harness has fewer torsion points and definitely is easier on the wetsuit. keep it out of the sun when not in
use.

What do you mean by 'revitalize'? Have the panels just faded and gone a bit dull?
I wouldn't worry unless they were starting to perish or something ...

Any time I use my kites and equipment on the beach or in the water I fresh water rinse it and let it hang dry. It is key to keeping stuff in good
shape.

Don't use ArmourAll, it will weaken your harness. It basically works by pulling water and oils to the surface which leaves the surface shiny but
deteriates the interior.
I keep one harness for water and one for land; I've had my current land harness for 2+ years and it's holding up really well. I'm expecting another
few years out of it. Harnesses get dirty; if a towel, soft brush, or hose down won't take it off then it's probably meant to be  If you are just trying to get the salt off then give it a few good baths in the tub!

i concurr, don't use armorall. in fact, for your car check out PRIMO.
if you have one near you, go to a dive shop and see what they use... i'll bet its silicone based.
also, check out McNett products. they specialize in outdoor "revitalization"
