Any chance someone can deliver to NABX?

Just upgraded the V19 to Lanbro's V2 19 (sorry Bob....looks like you had the same plan).

I know we're all gonna have a ton of stuff to lug to the Playa but I'm wondering if any of you would be willing to receive the kite for me from Lanbro and bring it along to NABX to save me the customs hassles? If so just let me know your mailing address and I'll send it along to Lanbro. Plan "B" will be to ship it to friends in Yuma but I'd hate to wish I had it on the playa.

Thanks in advance and no worries if we're all too overloaded already.

Hey Sailor,
If you're taking a room at Buffalo Bill's, you may have it delivered there.
It is a simple matter of timing.
Let the hotel know a package will come.
Almost like living in a civilized world.

Barring that, you can ship to me. I arrive at NABX on Thursday pm. Room in the car. (Dastardly tactic to get my hands on a kite I got scooped on ) :saint:

Staying on the Playa so Bob, can I add the pinnacle of insult to injury here and ship it your way? (As long as you promise not to carve your initials into it with an X-acto knife)

I'll even let you fly it so we can both see what the differences between the V1 and V2 really are. Deal? U2U me your address and I'll set things up with Lanbro. Let me know if you'd rather he wait to send it your way until closer to NABX or if it matters one way or the other. You're free to fly it if it reaches you early. Really. And thanks. I love PKF for reasons just like this!

Feel the love :bigok:

I was thinking more along the lines of a soldering iron! Oh, perish the thought. I can't even joke about something like that. U2U sent with addy.

You're certainly a top notch dude......

(A soldering iron would prevent fraying now wouldn't it?....even being mean, you'd be inadvertently nice ;)

Not a kite but a bike!

I'm thinking of getting a little folding bike sent out from the east coast, "Downtube" bikes, does anyone have one of these?

There was some mention earlier in this thread that it could work to have the package shipped to the hotel. How would I best insure that the delivery goes smoothly? Who is best to talk to?

The reason I'm wondering ifsthat when I booked my room the gal on the phone wasn't that familiar with English and it took a bit to get all the booking details worked out. When it comes to having something mailed there, might be better to have a contact that understands the plan....I'm just saying, eh?

the Hotel has informed me that receiving shipments is going to be more difficult.

I'm not sure what that means, but if you can ship to someone coming(driving), it may be more reliable than hoping something doesn't get lost in receiving at the hotel complex.

that is all.
