When first introduced in Britain, the original Cadbury Creme Egg weighed 40 grams (1.4 oz) and contained 171.6 Calories. Cadbury Creme Eggs sold in the UK and Canada have remained at this size, but those sold by Hershey's in the United States have decreased in size since their introduction - before 2006 they are listed with a weight of 39 grams, while today they are listed at 34 grams.

During an interview on the April 4th, 2007 episode of Late Night with Conan O' Brien, actor B. J. Novak drew attention to the fact that American market Cadbury Creme Eggs have decreased in size from previous years, despite the claim on the Cadbury's website FAQ that the eggs were not getting smaller, but rather, "you've just grown up!" The site has since been updated to clarify that only American eggs have altered in size.

Cadbury UK has confirmed that there are no plans to make UK Creme Eggs any smaller.

Have you noticed that three muskiteres bars keep getting bigger? They bragg in there adds that they are bigger. But they still weigh the same. They just fluff them more. What a scam

Cadbury stopped selling 1kg blocks of chocolate in NZ cos the Heart Foundation said it was a bad idea - too easy to sit down eat the whole thing in one go. Which it was.
Count your calories - and still eat crap so long as it all works out ;)

I gotta say, those cadbury eggs are gooood... HOWEVER, I much prefer the little candy-coated chocolate eggs, they're almost like M&Ms, but just a bit crunchier.

I need to hit the store and get my fix now... :bouncy:

I think the chocolate causes the mouth the produce saliva and then wash the cofee down to do the trick. But it also is just sooo damned good!!

Same thing is happening with ice cream. They used to be 2 quarts then 1.75 and now 1.5  but still cost the same. Just trying to get more money out of us
