Kamikuza! stop mentioning that 2x sizes for $1400 deal!!! altough is that the 2009 model?
I have barely got on the water with mine because its too cold and too tempting to go play in the snow instead!!
But i can tell you its stupidly easy to relaunch the 2010 model. it drifts towards the edge of the window on its own and sits on the tips of the sigma
profile. The you just got to pull a backline and it lifts a wingtip ready to go.
The increased sigma from 2009 makes this REALLY easy. Slight downside is that the fact it sits so high means it has quite alot of profile to pull you
downwind while on its leading edge...
Best thing about it is the way it turns! - Nothing (i've tried) holds its power through the turns like a sigma kite. It does take a little getting
used to though - the way it pivots from the centre rather than the wingtip - but it really helps on transitions - particularly heelside to toeside
carves - its ridiculously smooth!
Depower is huge. there is a tonne of rope you can haul through the cleat and the bar throw gives you instant range adjustment (2010 bar)
The kite is really stable in the air but has a huge amount of power available when you move it so it doesn't lack performance but doesn't spank you
either.
Everyone says its a really easy kite to use but i have to admit i found it difficult to fly the first couple of sessions - The bar pressure is SOOO
light! i was overflying the thing and sending it into unwanted kiteloops and stuff (exciting in 22mph i can tell you!) Its a #@%$#!cat now i'm used to
it but it took some patience.
I have only done a few small jumps on land with it so far - lift and float seems pretty standard for an LEI - ie very good!
Its got really tough construction too. reinforced in all the right places so that should help all the folk on here who think inflatables burst when
you crash them (yeah maybe 10 years ago they did!)
I don't think you will be dissapointed if you get one. The 2010 model is a massive improvement on the 2009 (which i didn't own but flew quite a lot) I
will be riding mine all the time when the weather gets better!!
if you are quite experienced you might wanna look at the helix. Its apparently faster and has more pop for jumps. i havn't flown one yet but i'm
thinking of getting a 9m at some point as my high wind kite. Its quite twitchy though. You will be fine with it if you are used to C kites
stay lit!!
