He lives in the great plains. I think that's definable as cheating ;-)

i have the Europeans to thank for this field...yay soccer! this is the only soccer complex for about 250 miles.... There are prolly a ton of places to ride around here... crop fields that are out of rotation for the yearfor example, but good luck finding a farmer that will let you use it... And this field is really only good till late August... then the soccer kids and some wonderful AYSO soccer coaches take over...... one of the coaches and i had a disagreement last year... and i ended up walking away, but i'm still sore over the whole deal...

Anyway... dont pine over my field... its crowded, it floods, it randomly get filled with soccer goals... pine over Angus's beaches and Kent's Vegas playland...and what appears to be Carl's endless lightly soaked sandbar... i fly where i can cuz i likes to flys

Mood: low winds here I come

Saweet jumping pics there. I can't wait till my wife comes out of hibernation and is willing to take pictures of me kiting. (she's from Vancouver Island and still can't figure out why she moved out to the prairies) That grass field does look like it would be nice for kite setup and launch, too bad you have issues using it more than you do.

Yeah we Canadians have a lot of open spaces for kiting. Especially in the Prairies when the farmers aren't using the fields. The farmers that I have talked to seem to have no problem letting you use their fields. It seems they would rather you there than a bunch of people on sleds. So far my favorite place to ride is on a lake where this isn't anything or anyone in the way. When it blows here it really is a kiting paradise but the wind is usually gusty and seems to not get above 20km/h very often. Gotta start saving for a low winds kite for next year. I would be really nice to have long sandy beaches and steady winds like the coast. My wife is trying to get me to move back to the island next year so if I can get a steady job then maybe I will have those winds.

The farmers in this part of New England are cool with me flying and playing as long as the feilds are in down time. Once the hay starts to come up or they are plowing it is time to stay away.
