Galveston this weekend

This will be my first time down. Just wondering if anyone will be out riding if the wind is good. I'm bringing land and water stuff. I'd love to meet up with some of you guys down that way. Let me know who's up for it.

Peace,
Dave

if you're up in Dallas and have some flying time on Sunday, let me know. I'm ready to fly this weekend after a couple bad weeks of weather.

dylanj423...I'm a tourist, are you talking about East Beach? Don't want to miss you if it turns on.

east beach isnt a good kite spot these days.. lots of construction.... instead of turning left at seawall, turn right on 61st (one of the first lights in galveston), go to seawall and turn right.... 8 miles down on the left is where i usually set up...

google search "galveston state park" and you will get a better idea

looks 50/50 on the rain, though

Dang...didn't see your post till now dylanj423.
I ended up at East Beach around noon. Perfect day, had the place to myself with perfect winds (16-18). Man I love the steady winds here compared to the inland gusty stuff I'm used to.
I'll look for you tomorrow in the spot you mentioned. Should be another windy day, I can't wait to ride in the surf again. Totally cool new experience for me.

Got some good riding in on Sat., first at San Luis Pass than at Texas City Levee in the afternoon. Man you guys got a sweet area to ride and everyone I met was pretty cool and helpful. There was no wind on Sun. so me and my son got in some surf time. Some pretty cool spots right off the seawall. I'll definitely think to make more trips back to Galveston area this spring.

Sorry I didn't make it out to Galveston State Park dylanj423. I hope you had a chance to break that new board in. Maybe next time we can meet up.
