Die Antwoord

ok, i got shot a link to these guys, and man im impressed! It is really weird music... kind of rap/techno/afrikaan (seriously)

i'd post a vid but they have some foul language and suggestive drug usage... but, well, it is REALLY catchy stuff...

vist their website
http://www.dieantwoord.com/
you can stream the new album

or look 'em up on you tube...

Their big ones are "enter the ninja" and "Beat boy"(Zef Side on youtube)... "$copie" is funny as... oh man, its great!

these are really strange, and... really catchy, i cant stop listening  i dont get it... but i am gonna put "enter the ninja" on a kite vid

let me know what you think of the South Africans.... Die Antwoord!!

They are hilarious. And they are "in" on the joke, too...in case you didn't know, and thought they were 100% serious. They are 100% serious but there's a sly grin and a wink and a nod there....y'know?

Well, the lead guy has been doing crazy rap under like 10 different names, all...crazy.

I'd think they are pretty serious about their music.
Did I miss something?

My take on it is they are really poor kids living in a terribly poor country / town.

Personally I think it looks like some 2yr. old kid stuff, untalented crack head monkey crap, with a good beat.

However, I hope they make it out. That type of thing is big now days and its possible they might get a break and one day they could be rolling in some serious doe.

But I wouldn't have any confidence in it doing much good, except for buying more crack.

If Drew gets a kite vid up with that, it probably will rock.

LOL

Alright, I didn't find all those songs before. Just checked out some utube stuff they have.

But I'm done!!!!! Its starting to grow on me and I know I don't want to like it.

It can't be for me, Right! I'm more old school rock and country.

But, We just put two 12's, 1500w bridged amp, tweeters and a nice stereo in the boys S10 a few weeks ago. And that boom boom crap sounds pretty d*m good.:o:o

i could have competed with it but my design for my box is wrong for it... basically i'd have to put a reducer in to adjust the port size... a bigger port for higher/harder tones at comps to put up big numbers... and a slightly smaller port for daily, so i could nail the lows... i bet im right at about 148db, maybe 150... once my woffers break in... if i would adjust my port for comp i could see maybe 151, maybe 151.5... you gotta figure tho... every 3db, the sound at your ear doubles

all in all not bad for 2 speakers...

i have a friend that had a little nissan 240sx, and put up a 142db on two alpine type s subs... that is a dang good company if you ask me... i have one of their flip out HU... also ran 2 type-r 12" back when and they slapped hard... but i need MOAR POWER... so i went AQ subs/amp... they are pretty #@%$#!ty
