Yea the rev's are something else for sure. I'd like to try one.

Static flying the bigger fixed bridals seems limited as to what you can do. Spin em around and go backwards, is that it?

I would like to see some tricks with the hard pullers so I could try something new but I doubt there's much else.

But a rev, ahhhhh, theres a never ending story.

Revs are a work of art in the right hands. I know several people that annoy me on a regular basis

I couldn't get the hang of my rev. So sensitive to any little bit of wrist movement :P. But I agree with rocfighter, they can be a artwork when flown by the right person :)

Rev's might be a bit technical for myself.

The big fixed still gives you the fear factor knowing at any moment it will power up and jerk a knot in ur butt, and every time it jets off to the side or up, there's some straining going on, some toes digging into the front of your shoes and a few grunts and choice words from this old man.

I may be sounding a little wimpy here but after a few sessions with a 5m my @ss is tired.

Could you describe the handle movements associated with those tight "propeller like" spins? I would love to learn how to do them. I just can't seem to get it to spin that tight.

I'll try Txshooter,

Its mostly flying on the breaks.

With the 5m and probably with your 4m a harness really helps. You can hook up and lower your grip on the handles.

I can't really do it trying to hold the power back and fly with the breaks at the same time, too tiring on my wrist.

Anyway, hook in, get a lower grip on the handles and bring the kite right down in front of you with the breaks or/ and walking it down the window.

Not to much, just enough to keep it about head high, straight down wind. Use the breaks to make it stay there.

You'll see it wanting to teeter toter back and fourth trying to fly up but your keeping it down. Now as its wants to turn (teeter toter) to the right just pull more break on that side and let off break on the left.

Your harness will keep the power lines tight for you. Just use the breaks.

While learning it needs to be powered up pretty good, then you will get the feel and can do it under powered.

If it wants to fall and you want to keep spinning, while under powered, just walk backwards.

Just make sure the kite size / wind speed is within your holding range. Once your committed and over powered, you can't get loose.

The first time I ever let go in a panic was trying to do this in too much wind. I let go while still hooked in, what a dumb shock that was. Had to regrab while in a sprint for my butt.

Flying with the breaks and a harness is a blast. I used to think it allowed me to fly in higher winds, and it may but its a funny thing in that sometimes it powers up harder. I guess the cup you create at the trailing edge, catches more wind.

Give it a shot, shooter. You'll get it. I asked the same question last year in Tips and Tricks. Might be some good info for you there, from these guys.
