I see they made room for Hooj Ballz under that cover .  From what I have

That thing looks up to the task - nice low center of gravity, thin wheels to reduce drag along with the design of the front of the buggy. Seems like
the pilot has enough of the crazy to make a serious bid for the record.

Gurney did say "salt flat" when describing the surface of the lake bed. But then later says it is dried mud. Just a slip of the tongue I guess.

Yup just a slip. I caught it when I watched it again. It does look cool though. I say run it at the flats. You have miles of flat straight salt to get
up speed. And when the wind blows at any speed they do not race.

yep Ruudje and I were laughing all night about it. the cone concept makes sense but its still a little too low. the torso of the rider is the most
drag.

You know, when you mentioned the black fairings on the rear wheels it solidified your first image for me. Just imagine how it would look from above.

Seriously, I'm concerned about the leverage the wind is going to have on the side of that fairing. I guess when it all gets going, most of the wind
will be hitting in front. Part of me wants to see this thing zipping along and the other side of me wants the winds to be more sane so I don't have
to wear my own pink skirt. I don't look that great in pink..... Or a skirt for that matter.
